And The Award Goes To …

Real estate blogging isn’t really like movie making or the music industry where there is a big gala event every year where all the bloggers get together to celebrate and award giant glass trophies to recognize the best bloggers, the best commentors, the best people behind the scenes of the blogs and so on.

There are some pretty cool forms of recognition out there for the bloggers like Bigger Pockets Top 20 Real Estate Blog awards, and Patrick Riddle’s Battle of the REI Blogs, but there isn’t anyone recognizing the best blog commentors. And I think there should be. Some people put in a ton of effort to add value with their thoughtful and well written comments. And as a blogger I can tell you there is no greater reward for the effort it takes to put together a blog post than a thoughtful comment adding to something you wrote.

So today I want to give an award to someone who I believe really deserves the Most Valuable Contributor award for the real estate blogging space. If you’ve been around the real estate blog scene for a few months I am pretty sure you’re going to know who I believe deserves some serious recognition for her contributions to the blogging community. We all learn from her positive and high quality comments …

So the award for MOST VALUABLE BLOG CONTRIBUTOR goes to Rachel Hernandez aka Mobile Home Gurl:

    @Josh – Glad you like the badge – thanks for that!! I asked my graphics designer to create it and she asked for a picture of Rachel so that’s why it kind of looks like her. I wish I could take some credit for the awesome badge but I said “I want a trophy that says this….” and this great master piece is what she sent me back!! I wasn’t so creative but I guess that’s why it’s important to have awesome people on your team who are good at what you’re not. :)
