The Badlands, Big Dinosaurs and Bank of Canada

by Julie Broad

Howdy folks!! Thought I would just give you a couple of quick pictures from our little road trip adventure so far and share a video we shot in the Badlands around Drumheller, AB today after learning that the Bank of Canada had decided to raise rates. The rate increase was a bit unexpected given the latest housing market headlines we’ve heard, but as I wrote about in BiggerPockets recently in the Coming Crash in the Canadian Housing Market, you have to dig deeper into any headline. In this video I basically reiterate that point and give you a little look around from Orkney Viewpoint just outside of Drumheller. Enjoy!!

And here are a few of my favourite shots from today’s visit to the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller:

Imagine coming face to face with the Albertosaurus?? We did today!!

Dave under attack!!

This famous fossil is known as Black Beauty because of it’s colour. It’s also famous because it’s one of the smaller T-Rex’s found in the world.

All right – that’s it for us! This is supposed to be a vacation after all!
