Happy Holidays and Some Photos from Mexico

I believe every person has the ability to achieve something important, and with that in mind I regard everyone as special.

I have come to learn something over the years, and that is that everyone has great potential. We do not all share the same potential for the same things (thankfully!) but every single person has potential to do something great.
Real Estate Investing Can Enable Greatness
Yesterday I had a strategy session with an up and coming real estate investor in Edmonton. He wants to use real estate to fund his charity contributions, take his Mom on a great vacation and a few other very selfless things. It was a wonderful conversation and I was truly honoured to have chatted with him because it reminded me of the great things we can all do with the money and wealth we create from our investments. Wade Graham, our friend at Higher Ground Investments, is a perfect example of someone that uses his real estate investments to do great things with charitable organizations – well one charity in particular. What he does is enabled by his real estate investments.
We received a Christmas card and gift from one of the assistants we brought onto our team this year. In the card she shared a very heartfelt thank you. She is grateful for the job. When I opened her card I realized real estate has enabled us to employ two assistants and give a whole lot of work to our home inspector, real estate agent, financing team, tradespeople, cleaning lady, and so many other folks. We’re creating jobs and in a time when many people need a little extra work that is a pretty powerful thing.
As Dave’s Dad would say “That sure is neat.”
I wish I could say I set out to become a real estate investor to have a positive impact on other people’s lives but I didn’t. I just wanted freedom. Now I am really seeing the impact we can all have on the world with just a few smart investments and it makes me want to encourage and support you even more! It can be a domino effect of goodness spreading all over North America. Feels good just thinking about it.
So today I wanted to remind you that you are capable of something great. Maybe your greatness lies in charity work, or in being the best Mom or Dad to your children so they can make a huge impact on the world, or in singing beautiful music that makes people happy. I don’t know what your greatness could be, I just know that real estate just might be the vehicle that enables you to have the time and money to share your greatness with the world. If nothing else – I believe in you – and I am here to help you!!
And as that little feeling of doubt creeps in (because I know it always does for me when I start to dream big) remember, “If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.” – Mary Kay Ash
Wishing you and your family a holiday season filled with love and laughter,

Now … just for fun and because we have had some people asking for them, here’s a few shots from our trip to Mexico. As you can see the sun was always shining, the sky was blue and we had big smiles on our faces (so all in all a FANTASTIC vacation!!):

Our ATV Group outside of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico … my brother Wes (sitting on the quad), then L to R Dave, my Dad, me, and Richard (family friend). This was all many hours before Dave’s accident that required 9 stitches.
My Dad never misses an opportunity to advertise Rev N You – THANKS DAD!! This is Dad and I outside of his hotel in Cabo San Lucas. Dave and I were staying 30km away in San Jose.
This is Dave on the boat getting geared up to go parasailing. Dad, Dave and I all took turns flying 150ft in the air around the bay in Cabo San Lucas. I have to tell you – I was shaking with fear – but I loved it!
This is Dave just on his way out …
Fun times were had by all.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
