I’m sure you’ve heard me say that being free from our jobs makes every day a holiday.
That doesn’t mean we don’t work – it just means that every day is ours to do with as we please. It’s an incredible feeling! No more juggling our vacation days trying to make it work so we can take time off together. No more anxious feelings hoping my boss will let me leave early to go mountain biking before the sun is gone for the day. And, best of all, afternoon naps whenever I want, in my own bed!

Hey folks – hope you’re having a great week. We’re on our way to Blue Mountain for a wedding. Blue Mountain is just north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It’s the ski destination in Ontario which always makes me giggle because you can actually drive to the top of the “mountain”. So maybe it’s not much of a ski hill but it is beautiful up there and it will make for a lovely spot for our friends wedding. And with the festivities kicking off today with golfing and a BBQ, I know we’ll have a lot of fun.

Creating the life you want for yourself and your family is probably the single biggest reason so many people get into real estate investing. It’s all about freedom. The freedom to head on over to your niece’s five year old birthday party at 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon (which is where I am heading as soon as I post this sucker!), or the freedom to take a long weekend EVERY weekend.

Engage Today 2010 in Calgary was an absolutely incredible weekend. After last year with Richard Branson, Stephen Covey, the Dalai Lama, and so many other great minds from the world it seemed impossible that this year’s event could even compare. And really it didn’t. The two events were totally different.
