I’m sure you’ve heard me say that being free from our jobs makes every day a holiday.

That doesn’t mean we don’t work – it just means that every day is ours to do with as we please. It’s an incredible feeling! No more juggling our vacation days trying to make it work so we can take time off together. No more anxious feelings hoping my boss will let me leave early to go mountain biking before the sun is gone for the day. And, best of all, afternoon naps whenever I want, in my own bed!

When Quitting is the Best Decision Ever

“Best. Decision. Ever.”

Those were the words of Susan Lassiter-Lyons on a Facebook page (can’t remember if it was my page or her page or someone else’s page). She was speaking about quitting her job years ago. And in fact, just yesterday she posted a funny blog post about the exact sign that spoke to her so loudly she quit her job.
